Located about 54 kilometers from Palma, spreading over a distance of about 10 kms and a community of Balearic Islands, Alcudia is one of the beautiful beaches in Europe. Therefore it is no surprise that this beach is busy throughout the year.

How to reach Alcudia:

During the tourist season ferry services are available from Barcelona and Minorca. However, the beach can be reached by car from Palma Airport. It is about one hour journey from Palma Airport.

Many apartments and villas are available in Alcudia. Many of the apartments are facing the beach and hotels are located near the market place. Many of the villas and apartments are self catering and the rent is reasonable. Many hotels and bars are available for the tourists to relish themselves. Some of the hotels serve the most delicious Italian cuisine. Chinese, Indian, Mallorcan and Spanish restaurants can also be found on this beach. Some of the most popular coffee bars are located in Alcudia.

Places of interest:

The beach in Alcudia is the centre of attraction. This beautiful beach with variety of water sports has attracted many tourists from many parts of Europe. The beautiful walking path runs parallel to the beach, shopping malls, beautifully laid out parks and historical buildings which are some of the main attractions of Alcudia beach. For those who are interested in Karat, beautifully laid out Karat track is available just near the beach. The old town of Alcudia is just a few kilometers away. The old town has many places of interest like the city wall believed to have been built in the 14th century, St Jaume Church believed to have been built by Romans, Roman theatre, etc. There is a bullring. Although bullfighting is more or less on the decline in Spain due to opposition from animal lovers, mock fighting is held for amusement of tourists. Facilities are also available for snorkeling.

Birdwatchers always prefer Alcudia because of huge migratory birds which visit this place. Another interesting event of Alcudia is the annual Cyclo tourism which is flagged off at Alcudia. The intention of this Cyclo tourism is to visit some of the sightseeing places in and around Alcudia.

Golfers are the ones who enjoy their play on this beach. The 18 hole golf ground of Alcudia golf club is considered to be one of the best golf grounds of Europe. The golf ground is located in the most beautiful environment.
